A consultation running from 13 June to 15 August 2011

Hertfordshire County Council has launched a consultation on the future school transport network, covering 800 routes, Education (E) routes and small vehicle provision.

The proposals focus on school transport following the introduction of a statutory only school transport policy from September 2012. The consultation asks for your views on how to allocate any spare seats on transport which the county council will continue to run and about alternative arrangements for routes which are at risk of being withdrawn or have their capacity reduced.

Following questions about the proposals are some additional questions to help gather information about the likely future transport needs across Hertfordshire.

The county council will continue to provide transport for children and young people with a statutory right to free transport.

Please visit www.hertsdirect.org/csfconsultations for details of the proposals and the online response form.
