This covers every major art period from prehistory to modern, with each historical period subdivided into movements and key artists. There are also extensive links to museums and galleries across the world, and to sites covering art from non-European cultures. Truely panoramic.

These are excellent sites for really excellent museums in London. There is free access to the museums so if you are ever in London and at a loose end....
The Science Mural
Year 11 students,as well as the Art Able Student Programme helped to create this large mural which is based on th Periodic table and which now hangs within the Science Department.

Year 11 Exam Homeworks:
To gain an A*-C pass in GCSE Art you must have completed the following for the EXAM
Week 1: Initial Research: Draw and/or photograph an interesting object which relates to the theme of wraps. Make sure that you have a sketchpad and and a range of pencils. Aim for very detailed, tonal drawings which really shows off your skill as an artist.
Week 2: Initial Research: Aim for three double pages based on the three artists you have chosen to study (based on the powerpoint/exam paper on wraps.) Make sure that you have plenty of visual information, your own written notes, in your own handwriting (rather than stuff copied and pasted from the Internet) and your own drawings on each double page.
Week 3: 3 x A4 drawings from observation (using any materials)
Week 4: A2 Artist research sheet (giving information on how the artist's work is giving you ideas) and a large copy of an artists work (related to your theme) in colour. Initial ideas writing, contextual information research. Use the prompt sheets from the examination booklet.
Year 11 Art in Context Powerpoint
Week 5: 3 x A4 Experimenting with artist (Use the same materials that your artist used and work from some of the images that you have collected)
Week 6: 3 x A4 Development of ideas (Use the ideas from your artist to develop your work further)
Week 7: A2 development of ideas sheet.(different ideas and materials for the final piece linked with the artist.)
Week 8: A2 Final Ideas Sheet (A definite plan for your final piece, including composition and materials. You should write how you got your ideas and how the artist influenced you) GCSE Art Examinations 10 hours specific dates tba
