What you need to do.....
Well done to the following students who are on the Year 9 Art Able Student Programme this Year. We would like you to do one extra piece of work a term, or attend the after school sessions that are being set (details below) or both!

Able Student programme
We are providing Year 9 Art students on the Able Student Programme with the opportunity to enhance their creativity and skills in their Art by running an Art Club after school on Weds from 3.05pm. until 5.00 pm. During this time your child will have the opportunity to liaise Mr. Hearn in developing a number of large scale murals around the school. We very much look forward to your support in this initiative.

The Create Art section has a hands-on activities and demonstrations of technique, while the study section has everything from the elements and principles of art to art concepts, media styles and artists. Oh, and theres seven art games too.

Art History
This is a very good way to see works of art displayed, but it won't tell you much about the works themselves.
After School Activities.
It is planned to run a 'mural workshop' to develop murals for the hall, based on religious stained glass windows, the canteen and the MFL department later this year. If you have any ideas please let one of your art teachers know.
