The Humanities Department consists of History, Psychology, Business Studies, Agricultural Science, Environmental Studies and GNVQ Leisure & Tourism . We are fortunate in the department to have highly motivated and well qualified staff:

GNVQ Leisure & Tourism:

This is offered at Intermediate level, and is a growth area within the school.

Facilities:

The Humanities Department is found on the third floor of the main school block, giving Geography a splendid view over the Vale of St Albans! The department has 5 large teaching rooms, smaller GNVQ room, a workroom and an office. There are 2 televisions and videos in the department, many videotapes, maps and globes. All teachers have good access to, and close links with, the library. The GNVQ Leisure & Tourism has four networked computers. All the rooms in the Humanities department have been cabled to take network computers. In addition, staff can gain access with classes to three different computer rooms.
