The Olympic Reading Challenge 2012

This is a challenge that you don't need to join a gym or need specialised equipment for. We are aiming for the whole school, including teachers, to read at least 2012 books from now until September.

This is a school-wide initiative being run by the LIC.

Read 10 books for a Bronze Award

Read 15 books for a Silver Award

Read 25 books for a Gold Award.

no

Collect a Bronze sheet certificate from Mrs. Warman or Mrs. De Bellis from the LIC to start you off. Once you have read ten books (and commented on them) trade this sheet in for a Silver one. You will be expected to write a brief review on each book once you have read it. There may be a Platinum award for those of you who go above and beyond the Gold Award. (We know that some of you read at least 50 books a year.)

All our students should be regularly reading, both at school and during the holidays. It is a brilliant way of relaxing and it has been proved that the best indicator of academic success is the amount of time children read.
