Key Stage 3 Science.
During years 7, 8 and 9 students are taught the National Curriculum and are prepared for taking their SATS examination at the end of year 9.

All students take GCSE 21st Century Science, plus a "bolt-on" option, either Additional Science (academic - the "doctor" route"), Applied Science (vocational - the "nurse" route) or Agricultural Science. There are plans, if numbers allow, for a fourth option, nick-named Addtional+, where those students achieving level 6 and above at KS3 will have the opportunity to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
