The Sixth Form

Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School has a large and flourishing Sixth Form of which we are very proud.

The school is part of a Consortium with three other local schools: Loreto College, St. Albans Girls' School and St. Michael'sCatholic High SchoolThis allows students to follow a varied curriculum with a wide and impressive range of qualifications and subjects on offer. The pastoral care that students receive in earlier years at the school is maintained and all students are offered support and guidance concerning Careers advice and entry to Higher Education. The majority of Sixth Form students progress to University including successful applications to Oxford and Cambridge.

There are opportunities for students to involve themselves in the community life of the school including a prefect system and a Year 7 reading scheme. Students are also encouraged to develop their personal skills through the Leadership Challenge. External links with a range of Charities are maintained and the Sixth Form remains committed to annual fund raising efforts on their behalf. Our Head Boy and Head Girl provide an important focus for the student body and contribute regularly to the work of the whole school Student Council.
