Alex Reidy's Accout of the school ski trip to Zell am Zee, Austria, March 2008
The ski trip to Zell am Zee was an incredible experience. The snow conditions were close to perfect with the exception of the lower slopes which started to get a bit rough on the last two days. It was a beautiful Austrian resort which had a top glacial altitude of three thousand two hundred metres and three different mountains to choose from. The instuctors were incredibly professional and gave us understandable feedback which helped boost our overall levels which were given to us at the end of the holiday.
The hotel was set in a beautiful area of the mountain range and the rooms were brilliant. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of food to choose from and dinner was served to your table as soon as you got down from your room. Normally before or sometimes after dinner an evening activity was set. The evening activities were a typical Austrian evening, swimming, bowling, two hours about the town and an entertaining last day disco.
The only bit about the trip I didn't like were the long tiring coach journeys, and of course having to leave after all the good times we had in Austria.
