Sixth Form
Sixth Form
"Sixth form students make a strong contribution to the life of the school through their work in support of other students, and also to the wider community. The curriculum provides a good range of courses, including some vocational options, in conjunction with a consortium of three other schools." (Ofsted Report 2011)

Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School has a large and flourishing Sixth Form of which we are very proud.

"The systems for care, guidance and support work as effectively in the sixth form as in the rest of the school, and students are very well supported." (Ofsted Report 2011)
The school is part of a Consortium with three other local schools: Loreto College, St. Albans Girls' School and St. Michael's Catholic High SchoolThis allows students to follow a varied curriculum with a wide and impressive range of qualifications and subjects on offer. The pastoral care that students receive in earlier years at the school is maintained and all students are offered support and guidance concerning Careers advice and entry to Higher Education. The majority of Sixth Form students progress to University including successful applications to Oxford and Cambridge.
There are opportunities for students to involve themselves in the community life of the school including a prefect system and a Year 7 reading scheme. Students are also encouraged to develop their personal skills through the Leadership Challenge.
